Halfmoon Democratic Committee

Working to make our town a better place.

Mission Statement

Objective: To represent the needs and opinions of all residents of our community, to facilitate effective communication between the residents of our community and elected officials at all levels of government, and to demonstrate Democratic ideals through the words and actions of our members.

Goals:

· Recruit exceptional and motivated Democrats to represent all 19 Districts on the Halfmoon Democratic Committee (HDC).

· Maintain a functioning committee structure with fair committee elections and responsible elected officers.

· Establish a solvent treasury with which to fund HDC activities and support Democratic candidates for elected office.

· Present a fresh perspective to Town Government by electing a Democrat to a Halfmoon Town Council position.

· Participate in the Halfmoon Zoning Board or Halfmoon Planning Board, as either individual citizens or sitting board members.

· Develop a close working relationship with and leverage the experience of the Saratoga County Democratic Committee to become more efficient and effective as an organization.

· Actively contribute to the successful election campaigns of Democratic candidates for office at the local, state, and national levels.
